It's my birthday today.

My parents woke me up at around 8:30 AM, and gave me lots of awesome stuff:
A 500g bag of caramel.
Two bags of sweet chili potato chips. I'm the only person in my family who likes that flavour.
A six-pack Coke glass bottles.
A 10-pack of Mars bars.
Skullcandy Hesh headphones (haven't tried them yet).
Logitech Z523 speaker system. Sound is awesome
Multimedia hub - for switching between speakers/headphones with a single press of a button. Haven't tried it yet.
Three Iron Maiden albums - Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast, and No Prayer for the Dying.

skullcandy takes like $5 worth of audio components and sells it for way too much. shitty frequency response, shitty design, shitty everything. i have a pair of $80 sony headphones and theyre better than the most expensive skullcandy headphones.

as for speakers, its pretty much the same thing. logitech produces computer peripherals, not audio equipment.

as for the hub, it's just adding resistance. you'll have to crank your sound card's built in amplifier, which sucks dick. a real amplifier gives you the ability to switch to headphones and doesn't force you to use shitty amplification.

i listen mostly to dubstep which is totally not noise. noise is only an occasional thing now.

they are used as such but are not exactly just peripherals, theyre more special
its a lot harder to produce decent speakers than make a decent keyboard

he's right, speaker elements (even basic shit like the piezo buzzer) are much harder to produce and are much more expensive as a buyer than a button, which makes up most of computer input devices

also speaker elements were not designed for personal computers
