I don't know, that's an interesting question. Articles that directly cite credible sources (a notable example is scientific reporting) are often labeled as liberally biased on the internet, while claims of conservative bias are much less common.

The explanation I would deduce is that conservatives are often more outspoken than those with liberal views. This is, I suppose, why there is no equal leftist movement to the Tea Party.

Doing some research on movements mirroring the Tea Party, I did find something mentioning the "Coffee Party".
