Pie, you don't seem to get that it doesn't matter what they actually need. The old people don't get that's all they need. They don't get that it's weird to use a game engine. And apparently you don't get old people. You have to try thinking like them to understand.Pielikey wrote:Really do you need a game engine for what's essentially like 4 goddamn lines of text?

you're not designing anything, you're putting a 400x300 applet in the middle of a white page

I'm saying the reason why they are raging is because it's not actually a website, but it's pointless to rage because old people aren't going to give a fuck what it is as long as they like it.

OBVIOUSLY THERE IS NOTHING WITHIN THIS APPLICATION THAT REQUIRES EFFORT ON MY END
i'm recreating their building from architectural plans, that's just as hard as designing a website traditionally

but you wouldn't know because you can't design a website traditionally :D
Re: sigfig kind of sort of maybe has a job
just because i'm not as skilled with working with html as much as I am working with 3ds max, doesn't mean I don't appreciate how much work goes in to a proper traditional design

I don't get whats wrong with using what you are skilled at as long as your client doesn't care.
Edit: Just because something isn't done the traditional way doesn't mean it is a bad idea.

Re: sigfig kind of sort of maybe has a job
voxels are pixels but in 3d
it'd be cooler if the weed was constructed of voxels based on the different photo angles you have here

Re: sigfig kind of sort of maybe has a job
do it
inb4 sig doesn't actually finish and travis has to win by default
EDIT:
inb4 sig then argues that HE should win or that it should be a stalemate because he couldn't enter for reason x/y/z

give me your source images and i'll do exactly the same thing you did
except instead of doing momentum in java ill just have the thing as a rigidbody on a pole
wait how are you going to test it, unity won't run for you
